Mini Digital Cameras

i have a little Innovage mini digital camera but i cant get it to work?

i thought it was just that i bought a broken one but i turns out that i cant get the pictures to load on the computer. i meet all of the system requirements but i cant get it to work. could someone help me please?

I have one too and its hard to say without knowing exactly what it is you may be doing wrong. I on the other hand am having problems operating it as a webcam.

Basically how it works is that after you've taken the pictures and then hooked it up to your computer, you load the program and its supposed to automatically show you a screen that says how many pictures you have taken and whether or not you want to upload them.

Buying a Digital Camera? Read This Buying Guide!

Many digital cameras with upgraded technology are being introduced every day. This makes it more difficult to select a camera, as you are left with a wide range of models to choose from. However, most buyers have specific features and needs in mind. Rather than going for the latest model, buy digital cameras that best suit your requirements.

What should I look for when buying a digital camera?

The cheap camera lenses, resolution, display size, performance and battery life should all play a significant role in your buying decision. Here are some features to keep in mind while picking the right camera for yourself.

Resolution:

Resolution is typically defined as the number of pixels that make up a picture. A digital cameras resolution is closely related to image quality. You need a high resolution camera to shoot and print highly detailed photographs. If you want to enlarge and crop any of your photos without loss of clarity, go for cameras that offer a higher resolution. If you do not intend on printing your photographs and would rather email them to friends, a lower resolution camera would be a better choice. They are more affordable and still produce fairly good images.

Memory and Connectivity:

Generally, digital cameras have a removable storage option, such as a memory card slot. Digital cameras support a wide range of formats like flash memory, memory sticks, SecureDigital cards, SmartMedia cards and xD Picture cards. Many TVs, laptops, digital photo frames and some gaming consoles have memory card readers, so you can easily view photos that are stored on memory cards. If you want to save money, store photos on the cameras internal memory rather than on a memory card and transfer them to a PC or Mac using a USB cable. Digital memory is a huge time and money saver!

Batteries:

Rechargeable batteries are highly recommended because they can be charged and reused again. Recent cameras are compatible with NiCad, NiMH and lithium-ion batteries. Though NiCad and NiMH are inexpensive, lithium-ion is worth the extra money. They are long-lasting batteries with low self-discharge rates. You should opt for cameras that are compatible with lithium-ion batteries. A few cameras come with an AC power adapter that can be used to charge the digital camera battery as well.

Zoom:

Digital cameras come with two types of zoom lenses, optical and digital. Both of these zoom lenses allow you to take close-ups of a distant subject, although they accomplish this task through different means. The optical zoom magnifies the image before the shot is taken, whereas the digital zoom artificially magnifies the image by enlarging the pixel area but this leads to a loss of resolution. You should pay more attention to the optical zoom rather than the digital zoom when comparing models.

Modes:

Most cameras available today have preset modes for shooting images under different conditions. Factors such as exposure, aperture, focussing, light metering, white balance and sensitivity can all be adjusted. Many digital cameras also include video capture modes, enabling you to take short videos at different frame rate speeds.

ViewFinders and LCD Displays:

The optical viewfinder is the window you look through when taking a picutre. Although there are digital cameras with viewfinders, several of the latest models have only an LCD display. The LCD screen lets you view an image as you take it and also plays back pictures and videos saved on your camera. Anti-glare screens are best for buyers who plan on shooting a lot of photos outdoors. If you need a durable camera for rough use, opt for a scratch resistant screen.

Technology:

Digital cameras also come with innovative technologies that make photography fun and easy. Do u want to avoid overexposed or darkened faces, recognise multiple faces or optimize the color and tonal qualities of your photos? Not a problem. Todays cameras are well equipped with automatic red-eye and camera shake detection and correction as well as multiple face recognition. Not no meantion tons of

What are the different types of cameras and camera accessories online or available through conventional stores?

Point-and-Shoot Models:

Point-and-shoot cameras are a dime a dozen. These entry level models provide low resolution with little magnification. If you do not want to spend time on focusing and figuring out the settings and controls, a point-and-shoot camera is just the ticket. You will find plenty of these models that are low in cost and easy to use.

Intermediate Models:

These models are especially designed for beginners. Equipped with a range of automatic settings, these consumer-level digital cameras produce flawless pictures. They usually have a resolution of 3.2 to 5 megapixels and a 3:1 to 4:1 zoom lens.

Advanced Consumer Models:

If you have taken a class or photography is one of your hobbies, then you will probably want some additional features. Choose from the many advanced consumer models with higher resolutions, quality lenses and morer zoom. These models let you add features based on your needs and give you the freedom to personalize the settings.

Prosumer Models:

When you buy digital cameras, if consumer models are too basic for you and professional models are too complex, you will love a prosumer model. These sophisticated cameras have the best of both worlds. They have a vast number of options to work with, like switching between automatic and manual focus, selecting the shutter speed and adjusting the aperture settings. You will also have the opportunity to express your creative side by manipulating images. You can adjust the brightness and contrast levels for truly unique snaps. You can expect a minimum of 5 to 6 megapixels in this category. These digital cameras can take 2 to 3 pictures per second, but tend to be more fragile than other models.

Professional Models:

You will need a top of the line model that sports the latest features to meet your high demands, if you are a professional photographer. Professional models are capable of producing high resolution images with magnificent colors and clarity. They have interchangeable lenses and a resolution of up to 14 megapixels. These models are the fastest on the market, allowing you to take 5 pictures per second. Professional digital cameras have a whopping storage option of at least a 1 GB mini hard disk drive, on an average.

Great little battery charger, does what it's supposed to

by M. Keller from Northern VA on 2010-09-02
This little charger works! Lost the battery charger that came with my camera and was shocked at how expensive replacement Sony branded chargers are. I normally prefer branded items for things like battery chargers, but after reading the other reviews, I decided to take a chance on this. It does what it's supposed to - it charged my battery in about 2 hours (from dead). The light is supposed to have different colors, but for some reason the light colors didn't match the instructions. It was a little different, so I could still tell when it was charged versus not. I would prefer it gave an indication of how much charge is in the battery, but for under $10, I can't complain.PROS: nice plug - flips into the charger body for a smaller footprint, small and easy to carry, has a car charger (although I haven't tried it yet)

Sony battery charger

The product worked fine once I figured out how to correctly put the battery in the charger. The directions could be clearer. Great deal for the price. Item came in good time.

Worked great

by C.K. from Illinois on 2010-08-19
I took this in the car on a 6 hr road trip to go to a concert. I charged three batteries for my camera and took over 200 pix! Batteries were fully charged and stayed charged as long as expected. I only went through 1.5 batteries. I also took video and panoramic pix which uses more battery. I would recommend this item to anyone using compatible batteries.

It does charges my Sony battery perfectly!

by D. Guerrero from Redondo, CA USA on 2010-08-15
Want to agree with all the other 5 star reviewers! The only thing you have to remember is to put in the battery with fine print facing up and plug it in!

Works with the Sony NP-BG1 battery

by E. Nabors from on 2010-07-11
This charger works perfectly with a Sony NP-BG1 battery. The only wrinkle (and I suspect this may explain some of the problems people who gave it one star were having) is that you have to put the battery in backwards, i.e. so the back of the battery faces out.I too noticed that the green light came on just from plugging it in, and putting the battery in with the front facing out did nothing. I was about to throw the charger out when my wife (being of an infinitely calmer mind at that point) tried putting the battery in backwards. On came the red light, the battery charged up perfectly, and all was well.Don't let the cheap price scare you away. Buy this charger.

GREAT DEAL

by Dan Hach from on 2010-09-04
This product is excellent. Before I had bought a similar one of another brand but honestly I have to take my hat off with gorillapod. The finish, the resistance and the safety and firmness with which it supports the camera is priceless. I have to say is somehow big. But you tell me if there is any small accessorie for a SLR??

Very Happy

by Octavio Cardoso from Rye, New York USA on 2010-08-26
Yes, It bounces. Yes, it can be difficult to set up. However if you use a ball head or pistol grip head from another tripod, the setup problem is eliminated. The bouncing is easily cured with the timer or a remote. It sure beats carrying my large tripod around during my vacation. I am able to make it grip on various objects and maneuver the camera with the pistol grip head to get the desired shot. I am using it with my Nikon D90 which I know is not the heaviest of DSRLs but I think for most people it would do just fine.I don't know if I would be happy if I did not have the pistol grip head to use with it. I tried to set up shots with out it and it is very difficult to aim the camera properly and make it stay where you want it to stay.Hope this helps.

great tripod for d3000

Not very functional unless you purchase the ball head separately

by Nikola from on 2010-07-31
I have been very happy with the smaller version of this tripod, but GP3 has been mostly a disappointment. First of all, there is no ball head included, so adjusting both the angle of the camera and the position of the legs is challenging, and sometimes impossible. The only situation where this tripod works just fine is placing it on a flat table to shoot the subject perfectly positioned in the horizontal plane (but then who needs a tripod anyway?). Real life is seldom this simple, especially outdoors. My other problem with this product is the mounting screw which is hard to access and to turn. The slot in the screw head is wide and shallow, so using a coin to drive the screw does not work as it is supposed to. Other than that, GP3 seems sturdy and of good quality. All in all, as sold this is pretty much a dysfunctional piece of gear. If you want to make it useful you will need to consider the cost of ball head which is sold separately.

Buyer Beware!

by NurseLisa from on 2010-07-02
I anxiously awaited the arrival of this product. Unfortunately, I can't give it a true rating because I can't even use it. There was supposed to be a Micro SD card included -- which is necessary for operation -- but it wasn't! I've contact the company and, supposedly, they're shipping one out. That remains to be seen! There's no phone number to contact this company... only an email address. I'll put an update if I get the card.

Chuck

by Cathy W from Owatonna, Minnesota United States on 2010-03-24
I have found that both the audio and video are excellent quality! One issue though is the durability. Of the five I have purchased, none of them are working any longer. Each has a different issue as to what went wrong with them. Now the hard part. What is the warranty, and how would one obtain parts? I have also found that the plastic clips do not hold up very well, and where would one go to buy just the clips? This is the biggest issue with these systems, otherwise they are very good.

FujiFilm Insatax Mini

by BK from on 2010-07-18
Takes good pictures when used correctly. It is intuitive to most users, but the person for whom we got the camera has memory deficiencies and can't figure out how to hold it correctly - consistently holds it upside down thus blocking the flash and resulting in black pictures.

Omg. This camera is so AWSOME.! The size of the pictures are exactly the same size as a credit card. The picture quality is really great compared to what i thought it would be. Its really cute, fun and easy to use. &&nd it could be used in ANY occasion. I would definitely recommend this instant camera.

compact and easy

by Qweene of Tarts from Switzerland on 2010-07-10
I bought this camera and film to make an impromptu album on the day of my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. As people arrived, we took their picture, affixed it into an album, and had them write their wishes and sign their names next to their photo. Everyone liked the idea, especially my parents! These little Fuji instant photos are tiny -- only about 2x3 inches (smaller than traditional polaroids), but for this use they were ok. We will also supplement the album pages with more professional, digital photos, but it was good to have these initial photos just to start each page and identify each guest.

Awesome!

The product was delivered as advertised. The pictures are small but that is one reason why I got it - I want to be able to mail them or attach them to post cards. The pictures come out nice - they take at least a minute to develop. There are four settings to take pictures so generally all conditions are covered.

Do not buy this tripod

by Dutch from Nebraska on 2010-09-03
This tripod has one very limited use. Static shots on a flat surface. It will not work to follow action. Panning with this tripod is a disaster. Forget about tilting up or down. In short, it will not do what you're hoping it will do, which is keep your shots steady when you're actually using the camera. The readysteady is a much better option.

Perfect little tripod

This is the perfect little tripod for the Flip line of cameras. It's just as portable as the camera and easy to take with you. It's flexible enough to make it simple to level the camera and sturdy enough that you don't have to worry about knocking the camera over. You can even wrap the legs around certain rails and fences. It's the PERFECT companion to the Flip cameras.

Don't use with Flip

by Bryan Wait from Denver, CO. on 2010-08-03
I recently bought a Flip Ultra HD which is nice except for the lack of image stabilization. So I figured a small tripod was in order. The problem with this product is that it is too flimsy to work with the Flip Video unit. The Flip makes this tripod much to top heavy which makes it topple over with even the slightest of vertical adjustments. Luckily it works fine for a small Sony cybershot that I have had for some time. If you are looking for a mini-tripod for any Flip Video recorder, I highly suggest you find one that is slightly larger and heavier to stabilize the Flip unit.

It's small, but it works. Don't expect anything great, but for only $1, it more than gets the job done.

This tripod is perfect for the casual photographer tat travels alone, so he can place himself in the pictures. Also to take group pictures and apperar in it.My 12 year old uses it a lot to meke funny pictures from various angles and it's excellent for parties, because the photographer gets to be in the picture too, if the camera has a time delay feature. It's ligth weigth but sturdy. I have even used it with my old video camera and it hold it pretty well.

web cam tripod

Very cute, but my web cam is built into my computer, and I don't own a tiny digital. I use professional stuff. But still cute and I think it would serve it's purpose if I had a use for it.
