can someone read my story and help me correct the errors?

In November 2532 The sun sets into the darkness like a space station Earthrise floated motionless in his shadow. The bright flashing lights slowly disappearing. Earthrise was one of the three space station to be kept in contact with the Office of Naval Intelligence because of the amount of intelligence which was held on board the Station. All was absolute silence as the only sound is the power generators of the station. Two are seen talking to each other in the lobby of the station, "Oh man, I use to love the beach. "" Yes, I can not wait to leave this place and relax. "Looking outside the station, the Marines saw far away something that even the radar could detect. Is that one of our pods? "They run to the captain of the station and quickly tell you that foreign pods come to the station. The captain pulled out his binoculars and looked around trying to get a look at the mysterious pods.

In November 2532 The sun hiding in the darkness as the station floating motionless Earthrise space between your shadow, the station lights bright flashes, and then gradually disappearing. Earthrise was one of the three space station kept in touch with the Office of Naval Intelligence, due to the large amount of intelligence which was held on board the station. Everything was dead quiet except the sound of generators from the power station. Two Marines they were talking at each other in the lobby of the station. "Oh man, I use to love the beach." "Yes, I can not wait to leave this place and relax." Looking outside the station, he saw the infant Marines in the distance, something that even the radar could detect. "Is that one of our pods?" They ran to the master station and said foreign pods rapidly approaching the station. The captain pulled out his binoculars and looked, trying to take a look at the mysterious pods. ----------------------------------------- This is an excellent start! It hooked me from the beginning. And now I know what happens Next>. <His writing is also excellent, but there were some grammar, and changed back and forth between time present and past a lot. I combined a few sentences and punctuation added elsewhere. It also sets errors in tense, and did it all last time (as most of the stories are written in the past, which sounds much better than this). Wording changed in places where what he wrote was uncomfortable. I changed the format, the division of parts in several paragraphs that would be better to have several paragraphs. I fixed the dialogue as well (whenever you have a new president, make a new paragraph.) I would suggest adding some more details about Earthrise, as it happens suddenly to describe their physical appearance to discuss his role, which does not flow well. The first sentence is a bit confusing, so I probably should clarify As part shade (I thought it was the sun, but I'm pretty sure the sun does not have a shadow). Also, talk more about the functions of Earthrise. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by intelligence, more description, and would be delicious. More details about the Marines would be very welcome, especially if you happen to be important. It is always good to have more details. ------------ In short, this is a great start you have here =) really makes me want to read more. Please tell me when you have nothing written, I love to read! Happy writing, I hope this has been helpful! =)

Awesome Binoculars!

I'm not familiar with high end binoculars, I bought these to watch football games from our nose bleed seats. They have excellent clarity, it is amazing the small details you can see, and the fan you can see across the stadium. They seem very durable, everyone is very impressed that uses them. A great buy.

exceptional glass

by Wade C. Flake from on 2009-09-11
After doing some research about binoculars I went with this model because; .great for people who wear glasses (soft eyepiece) .great light gathering (still hunters will love this one) .high enough power to work well, not so high to cause shake .and o my gosh clear ! .it might be a little heavy for hikers .advise to also purchase a Lenspen to clean with .overall it's hard to believe the quality of the product for the price

All I can say is YES!!!

by Rhon Herndon from on 2009-04-29
I have owned other binocs before, but these binocs ROCK!! They are great for being on the boat, especially when the boat is bouncing around on the water. These binocs are not small "pocket sized"...you can hold them with one hand but you need to grip them rather well if you only use one hand. They are pretty wide, but the quality of the view is worth it. These are by far my favorite binocs, and I plan to keep these for the rest of my life.

Great Binoculars

by N. Aoun from Boston, Ma on 2010-06-23
I use them frequently sailing day and night and they are excellent. The image quality is top. The compass makes it easy to take bearings. The compass is however not that stabilized, meaning that if your boat is moving around, as is the case if you are sailing or motoring, you won't be able to get a very precise bearing (plus minus 10-15degrees). The compass is illuminated, it's really hard to get this battery in though! I use my Petzl headlamp when I am sailing @ night with a red light, I discovered that it does illuminate the compass by reflection without using the built-in lamp and without affecting the vision... Overall I am very very satisfied and would recommend them highly.

Effortless

by Michael Edick from Olney, MD United States on 2009-08-27
I've had a couple seasons with these binocs, very happy with the results. I've left them onboard with damp, hot, cold conditions... no problems at all. Still amazed how they allow you to focus near or far without a zoom-function. Not sure how they did it, but they work. Others who tried them on my boat like these too.

Bushnell Marine 7X50 binocular

by Norman L. Smith from on 2009-06-07
I was hesitant to order these because binoculars are so varied in price and quality it is difficult to buy them without trying them out first. I have a pair of 12X50 Pentax that I paid over $200 for but these Bushnell binocs exceed them for clarity and quality, and priced at half the Pentax. I do a lot of fishing so I am out on the ocean waters of S.E. Alaska almost every day, and these 7X50 Marine work perfectly on the water. I especially like the built in compass which can be illuminated at the press of a button for near dark navigation. I would recommend these to any boater who wants a binocular that performs well, and doesn't put a big hole in your wallet.....thanks Bushnell!.....N. Smith Haines,Alaska

Great boat binocular

by Robert Stewart from Alabama on 2009-02-17
Just the right choice for boat use. Gathers light for a clear view better than some more expensive binoculars. The rubber armor is good for grip and protection. The waterproof qualities are perfect for encounters with salt water spray. Perfect for spotting birds over shrimp or schools of small bait fish. The optic view won't make you dizzy when using as the boat moves. Like the compass and lock that is built in.

Couldn't be happier

by N. Swanson from on 2009-05-23
After using a friends 8X Steiners I knew I had to get a pair for myself (just a bit more powerful). The resolution is crystal clear, the case and caps are solid and will last for quite a while. The neck strap is a bit thin so I'm looking for a new one that doesn't cut into the neck as much as they are a heavier binocular. The sighting for each eye piece is easy. Wearing glasses I prefer to use them w/o my glasses but you can use them w/ if needed. I have used them in low light as well as bright sun light and found them to have out performed my expectations. The price has gone up from when I bought them so best to shop the around.

Nice Optics but Failing "Rubber Armoring"

by Hing K. Law from Jersey City, New Jersey United States on 2006-02-07
We like the optics of this pair of binoculars which offer a bright and well magnified image. Even viewing under low light conditions is fine. Another good feature is the autofocus with which the user only needs to adjust the eye diodes for all viewing.Compared side by side with a Nikon 20x60 scope we also have, this model wins hands down with the optics and construction of most of the other parts. The downside, at least for the pair we have, is the "rubber armoring" started failing after about 2 years of use. Mind that we only use it indoor while this model is supposedly for "military/marine" use in adverse outdoor situations.First the rubber armoring coat on the right hand side became slacken. Later, the rubber at the right thumb holding position broke into a hole of the size of a silver dollar to expose the plastic shell of the binocular barrel. With the failing rubber armoring, I surely doubt if the binoculars are weather-proof anymore.

still the best

by Moondog from Philadelphia, PA on 2006-01-30
They're still the best. My friends try to tell me how good their fancy Austrian binoculars are and I show them my trusty Steiner Military/Marines. They work better and are much more durable than any of those $1000+ Euro brands. Steiner rules in performance and value!

A hunter's perspective

by Paul Lefebvre from Delaware, Ohio, USA on 2002-06-03
These are the finest field glasses I have ever looked through. The clarity and their ability to collect light in low light conditions are unbelievable. The only, and I do mean only, drawback is their size. Just too big to wear in the field or still hunting. Laid flat on the table they are nine inches across, three and a half inches thick and five and half inches long. While this may not sound so bad, the circumfernce on this set of glasses ranges eighteen and one quarter inches to twenty and one quarter inches, depending on your preferred setting at the hinge, which determines the distance between the oculars. I suppose they could be packed in on a stand hunt, but I won't be using them while still hunting. However, I think they are relatively light for how big they are.

Mislead by the 4 Star Rating

by John Hopkins from Katy, TX United States on 2001-08-22
I have purchased several pairs of binoculars to use on our ranch where most of our "work" of bird watching and wild mammal viewing is done at 100 to 300 yards. [We own] the 7X42 Tasco and 10X50 Nikon binoculars ...and we wanted a great pair of binoculars with better quality than anything we had. I read the reviews of the Steiner 10X50 Military/Marine binoculars and believed that the Steiner binoculars would be exactly what we wanted. We were extremely disappointed to discover that the Steiner binoculars were hard to focus. Each eyepiece must be separately focused for each 50 yard distance change between 50 and 250 yards. Besides being a nuisance to one user, one pair of binoculars between 2 people is simply impractical especially if the object is moving and only visible for a minute or two. The Steiner Military/Marine 10X50 binoculars did not focus across the entire field of view (if focused in the center, the outside was blurred). Considering the price, we found this poor quality quite surprising. The Tasco and Nikon binoculars costing half as much perform much better and all our guests prefer them.

Great for eyeglass wearers!

by SDJeff from San Diego, CA on 2008-08-10
I wear glasses and have found ordinary binoculars to be frustrating. With the very long eye relief and 7.1 mm exit pupil these are wonderful to use. The image is very large and crisp thanks to the BaK-4 prisms and multi-coated optics. The only thing even slightly negative I can say is the center focus is a little slow, but the amazing image overcomes a small problem like that. Throw in they're waterproof, easy to hold with the rubber armor and these are an amazing value for the price.

Stiener Binoculars 8 X 30 Marine

by Todd Keller from Jax, Fl on 2009-02-19
I was very disapppointed by the poor quality optics of these binoculars. Steiner has a supberb reputation but eidently they are producing a low quality product at this level to get to a low price point. Typically steiner sells at twice this price so the old adage "you get what you pay for" is true in this case. The optics on the Bushnell or Nikkon at half the price are as good or better. Don't be fooled by the Steiner name on this model.

Shop the rest, buy the best, Steiner can't be beat.

by C. Bond from Texas, USA on 2007-11-24
I spent weeks looking for the best set of binoculars for hunting and work. I have found that some have a better warranty such as Nikon but, I could not pass on the Steiners. I have used Steiners at work for years and they hold up well to abuse and will probably last a life time if handled under normal conditions. I hunt year round and love the fact once the eye pieces are set I don't have to change them. I can see from 20 feet to infinity without adjustment.

Superb!

by J. S. from Austin, TX USA on 2003-12-10
"Absolutely astonishing optical performance" is the advertisement - and it rings true. Couldn't believe the difference when compared to Nikon Naturalist IV 7x35 (endorsed by the National Audubon Society). Both are comparable weight, but for twice the price of the Nikon, you get an order of magnitude more clarity & brightness. Remarkable! Only drawback is the lack of central focusing. The individual eyepieces require frequent adjustment for anything closer than 25 yards. This binocular is a keeper!

Extremely rugged and an overall good value...

by Kurtis J. Jones from Russellville, AR United States on 2003-06-25
This binocular is seems extremely well constructed and rugged. The image quality is good (though not great). The sport focus system does not really work from 20 yards out (as advertised). It's fairly sharp from 70 yards or so out, but I've found I have to re-focus for the 20-70 yard range. The focus mechanism is fairly stiff, so it does stay put once focused. Despite the minor shortcomings, this binocular was exactly what I was looking for - lightweight, rugged, decent image, reasonable price.

Oooops ... Wrong Item Pictured

by Alvin Boning from Gainesville, FL USA on 2010-06-26
The item pictured is the Nikon Universal Adapter. I ordered it and received a Nikon Adapter. A simple L-bracket with two threaded holes for the tripod and a captive bolt with thumb wheel for the binoculars. Curiously, it was what I was shopping for so I was satisfied and didn't return the item. It does its job but is over priced so four stars.

Pentax Marine Binoculars

by Mike S. from Florida on 2010-05-03
I have always associated Pentax optics with quality, so I paid a little more than some other models thinking this was a good investment. Not so. Mine have some debris obscuring one lens, the battery was stone dead on the compass light and they are a little too wide for my personal comfort; I have to use them as narrow as they will go. I haven't sent these back; they're usable as they are, but I won't pay a premium price for the Pentax name again.

looks lik QA issues, unfortunately

Unfortunately I had to return the pair I had. Overall a very nice and solid set, well worth the price tag of under $200, but my pair had a non-working compass and makes me wonder how bad Quality Control actually is.

Great binoculars; Look good, easy to use, good price.

by Rob Chambers from Palo Alto, CA USA on 2010-08-15
These produce a crystal-clear, bright image. They are well-made and look great. The form-factor is convenient, and I was glad to see that they would produce such a great picture but still be easily portable.I currently use them for a bit of good-natured spying on the boaters on the lake in front of my house, but eventually hope to use them for hunting, hiking, concerts, etc...

good value

Sharp image, great price, better than other more expensive binocs I own. Handy size. Would get 5 stars but no provision for a neck strap.

compact Galileo

by Dew West from usa on 2009-09-13
I received the binoculars promptly . the instructions were precise and even better short. The product is easy to use and great for midrange use. Autofocus would have made them better but the price is definitely right. Would purchase again.

Comopact Binoculars

by K. Seago from Wichita, Kansas on 2009-08-28
I really like these binoculars. They are small in size, large in power. I have only used them for the theatre so far, but I was impressed with the quality. These are my first pair of binoculars, I wasn't sure what to get, but I read the reviews and decided based on the reviews of this product and my needs. I am very happy with my choice and recommend them.

Excellent travel bino

by L. Drake from Eugene, OR USA on 2009-07-17
I have owned the Galileo 8x22 compact binoculars for several years and have used them for bird watching and opera. I have been extremely happy with them. The image is sharp and clear, they have a nice field of view and are so light they fit in a jacket pocket. Sadly, they are also small enough as to be easily lost. I left mine in a theater and between the time some kind person picked them up and when I retrieved them from the lost and found they must have been dropped. They now show a double image and must be used as a monocular. Fortunately they are also very inexpensive and I will not hesitate to replace them with another pair. An excellent buy.

perfect for our needs

by Rick from Oklahoma City, OK USA on 2010-09-02
We use these for watching birds and other things in the back porch over a large park in the back yard. They have a good field of vision, wide enough, and great magnification for casual watching. For the price I couldn't be more pleased. Great clarity, and easily adjustable between me and my wife who have very different visual abilities and limitations. Glad I got them.

very goof for the price

limited use

by J. A. Berry from Wood River, Illinois United States on 2010-06-03
Bought a pair of these five years ago and used them maybe four times. A couple of days ago I got them out and when I took them out of the case the focus bar did not work and the eyepieces fell out. They were never dropped or mishandled. Great the few times I got to use them, but definitely not worth the money I wasted on them.

Pricing Extremely Well

by Elzinga O'Neil from Lansing, MI on 2010-02-03
The Binoculars work quite well for viewing sporting events. I got them for just under $40 marked down from about $80. Although they are a little heavy and bulky, they work very well and serve the purpose without having to treat them like fine china.
